Madani underscores importance of dialogue

Bako, Dec 3, SPA -- Minister of culture and information Iyad bin
Ameen Madani has underscored the importance of dialogue and said it
is high time for dialogue and openness.
The world no longer affords except a dialogue of civilizations, he
said in a statement tot al-Ekhbariah Channel following the meeting.
'I have reminded the participants of the meeting with the initiative
of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz
about dialogue among the followers of religions, civilizations and
cultures, as well as the recent meeting held at the United Nations to
adopt the initiative of the King in addition to the conference of
followers of religions and cultures earlier held in Madrid, under the
patronage of King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz and King Juan Carols of
Spain', he elaborated.
Madani noted that the two-day conference under the title of 'Dialogue
among cultures as a base for sustainable development and peace in
Europe and the neighboring regions' will open channels for the
international cultural dialogue as well as chances for international
cooperation using the cultural, technical and heritage capabilities.
