PREMIER PAYS TRIBUTE TO WAR VETERANS

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ In a scope of the 75th anniversary of the Khalkh River Battles Victory, the Prime Minister N.Altankhuyag Monday received war veterans B.Ayurzana, 99, and B.Saaraldai, 96, who fought in these Battles in 1939. While showing great respect to them, the Premier gave allowance of two million Togrogs to each. The aid is given in accordance with the governmental resolution by which a MNT 100 million financing was solved to be shared among the Khalkh River Battles veterans. As of today, there are 37 Mongolian left who fought in these battles. B.Ayurzana was called by the Armed Force in 1939 and participated the Khalkh River Battles as a member of the 5th division. B.Saaraldai took part in both 1939's Khalkh River Battle and 1945's Liberation Battle after he had entered the 13th cavalry unit of the Armed Forces.
