D.GANKHUYAG MEETS ANGLO AMERICAN GROUP’S DELEGATION

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Mining Minister D.Gankhuyag Monday received a delegation led by Mr James Harman, a chairman of the Anglo American Group in charge of business and development affairs. Mr Gankhuyag noted that parliament adopted on January 21 of 2014 in the third reading draft bills on amendments to the Law on Mineral Resources, "and this has created more favorable legal environment for foreign investments". To this Mr Harman said the Anglo American Group is interested in investing coal and copper industries in Mongolia. Anglo American plc is a multinational mining company headquartered in London, United Kingdom. It is the world's largest producer of platinum, with around 40% of world output, and a major producer of diamonds, copper, nickel, iron ore and metallurgical and thermal coal.
