1.7 million pilgrims come from abroad
Mina, December 05, SPA--The Director of Department of Hajj and Umrah Security at Command of Hajj Security Forces Major General Eng.
Mansour bin Sultan Al-Turki announced that the number of pilgrims
coming from abroad for this year's Hajj season 1429H. amounted to
more than 1.7 million.
In a press conference held here today, he said that the total number
of pilgrims will be issued on Eid Al-Adha day in an official
statistics from General Authority of Statistics and Information at
Ministry of Economy and Planning.
On his part, the Adviser to the Minister of Hajj and the Ministry's
spokesman said that the ministry granted more than 199,000 permits to
pilgrims inside the Kingdom through 236 companies and institutions
working in the service of pilgrims at home.
