Prince Khalid Al-Faisal announces success of Pilgrims ascent to
Arafat, Saudi Arabia, December 07, SPA -- Prince Khalid al-Faisal,
the Governor of Makkah region and Head of the Hajj Central Committee,
and who is also Head of the Higher Committee for the Supervision of
Pilgrims Transportation, has announced the success of the ascendance
of the pilgrims to Arafat.
In a statement to Saudi Press Agency (SPA), Prince Khalid said the
ascendance plan was carried out in a record time without major
problems, either security or traffic problems, noting that the
pilgrims have been performing their rituals in comfort and ease.
Prince Khalid pointed out that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, under
the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King
Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, has been mobilizing its potentialities for
the service of the pilgrims and providing them with the best possible
facilities.
He said that the projects implemented in Makkah and the Holy Places
have positively contributed to facilitating performance of Hajj
rituals.
More projects will be implemented in Makkah and the Holy Places for
the service of the pilgrims, Umrah (minor Hajj) performers and
visitors, he said adding that there is a continuous follow-up around
the clock for the services being extended to the pilgrims and
tackling any problem.
There are several committees for following up the services and
writing reports which will be discussed after the end of the Hajj
season, he noted.
