Pilgrims perform combined and shortened Zuhr and Asr prayers

ARAFAT, Saudi Arabia, December 07, SPA -- Pilgrims who since early
Sunday rushed to Namira Mosque performed today combined and shortened
zuhr (noon) and asr (afternoon) prayers in line with the teachings of
Prophet Mohammed (PBUH).

The 110,000 square meters mosque and the surrounding areas were
filled by the worshippers.

Prince Khalid al-Faisal, the Governor of Makkah region and Head of
the Hajj Central Committee, was among the worshippers.

The prayers were led by Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al Al-sheikh,
the General Mufti of the Kingdom and Head of the Commission of the
Senior Ulema (Islamic scholars) and Administrations of Islamic
Researches and Ifta.

He urged the people to remain God-fearing people and to adhere to
the teachings of Prophet Mohammed (PBUH).
