Al Al-Sheikh also referred to intellectual security, which he said is
no less important than the security of souls and money, stressing
that Islam protected the minds of Muslims from deviation, negligence,
excessiveness, hypocrisy or extremism. "In addition, a fair balance
and moderation has been established by Islam which is evidenced by
the words of God in verses of the Holy Quran."

In his sermon, Al Al-Sheikh also explained that there is information
security in light of what the world is witnessing of crucial
developments through modern technical means, making the nation
carries a heavy burden as well as putting on the nation a moral and
religious obligation in dealing with it. "Moreover, such means are
open for the deployment of thought and to influence the recipient,
stressing the importance of exercising caution in this context".

He described these means as electronic terrorism that harmed the
society and its members under false names and aliases to spread vice
and corruption.

The General Mufti urged the Muslim nation to make aware their
children with the right direction and guidance and warn them about
what is presented and offered, calling scientists, clerics, research
centers and university professors to use such means in calling for
right, eliminating the injustice and guiding the nation to the
straight path.
