Abdullah bin Zayed meets French defence minister, UN special envoy to Libya

PARIS: H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, U.A.E. Foreign Minister, on Tuesday in Paris met with French Minister of Defence, Jean-Yves Le Drian. During their meeting, the two sides reviewed the avenues of coordination and strategic cooperation between U.A.E. and France at all levels, as well as ways of developing them in the service of the interests of the two friendly peoples and the security and stability of the region. They also discussed matters of common interest and the regional and international developments. H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed also met U.N. Special Envoy to Libya, Bernardino Leon. During the meeting, they discussed the political and security developments in Libya and stressed the importance of supporting the Libyan government as the government that was endorsed by the elected House of Representatives in order to help it achieve security and fulfil the aspirations of the Libyan people and protect the country's territorial integrity.
