Prince Turki bin Sultan follows up ministry's activities in
Mina, December 07, SPA--Prince Turki bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz,
Assistant Minister of Culture and Information and Supervisor of the
Ministry's works in Hajj paid today an inspection tour of the
headquarters of the Ministry in Arafat during which he followed up
the ministry's plan to convey Hajj rituals this year, 1429H.
The prince participated in the live transmission of the first channel
of Saudi television expressing his pride in streamlining of pilgrims'
movement from Mina to Arafat and services provided for pilgrims by
various sectors concerned with the service of pilgrims, noting that
is a result of continual follow-up by the Custodian of the Two Holy
Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz and the Crown, and accurate
follow-up of all matters by Minister of Interior and Chairman of Hajj
Supreme Committee; and the Governor of Makkah Region and Chairman of
Hajj Central Committee.
Prince Turki bin Sultan stressed that the Minister of Culture and
Information Iyad bin Amin Madani is very keen on continuation of
matters as seen now and their development for the best.
He also inspected the headquarters of Saudi Press Agency (SPA) and he
was briefed on the agency's news activities, its equipment and modern
technology used to convey this global event and the movement of
pilgrims in the holy places.
The prince followed up the mechanism of the process of
information including news edition and photography through computers,
the used Internet, and SPA site concerned wit Hajj news and pictures
which provides news agencies and the press with the successive
developments of Hajj for this year's season.
During the tour, Prince Turki bin Sultan was accompanied by
Director General for Financial and Administrative Affairs Saadoun
Al-Saadoun; Assistant Undersecretary for Television Affairs Saleh
Al-Moghilith and Acting Director General of Saudi Press Agency (SPA)
Abdullah bin Fahd Al-Hussein.
