Iranian develops nervous reaction time measuring device

TEHRAN, Oct. 27 (MNA) – A researcher at Amir Kabir University developed a device which measures the nervous system reaction time to monitor the progress of neurological diseases.
Farin Zakaei, the developer of this device, stated that it is capable of measuring the reaction time for the nervous system in various people and explained, “this device conducts 8 tests on the patient and can be used in physical education centers, rehabilitation centers, clinics, hospitals, critical jobs in the employment centers for sensitive occupations such as piloting, as well as child monitoring health centers.”
“It can also be used in fitness testing for talent identification to determine how well-prepared the athlete is,” he added.
He maintained that this device is highly useful in neurological tests and can monitor the progress of neurological diseases in patients.
“In each of the tests conducted by this monitoring device,” he said, “there is a stimulus which determines the progress of the neurological disease or the patient’s recovery.”
“Data on the reaction time for the nervous system is transferred from the hardware to software and presented in statistical charts,” said Mr. Zakaei.
