M'sia's Samy Vellu Pays Courtesy Call On Tamil Nadu CM

By M. Saraswathi NEW DELHI, Nov 11 (Bernama) -– Malaysia’s Special Envoy for Infrastructure to India and South Asia, S. Samy Vellu Tuesday made a courtesy call on newly-appointed Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, O. Panneerselvam. During the 30-minute meeting, both Samy Vellu and Panneerselvam discussed the good bilateral relationship between Putrajaya and New Delhi, and specifically, the southern state of Tamil Nadu. They also spoke on the healthy people-to-people relations between Malaysia and Tamil Nadu and are keen to enhance it. Panneerselvam assumed office on Sept 29, this year. Also present during the bilateral meeting was Malaysia’s Consul-General in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, Chitra Devi Ramiah. --BERNAMA
