Political peace in Iraq, Syria:Iranian Majlis speaker

TEHRAN, Dec. 27 (MNA) – Iranian Majlis speaker , at his arrival to Tehran, said rational accordance is evident in critical issues of the region. Ali Larijani, after visiting Syria, Lebanon and Iraq during last week, arrived in Tehran Friday evening. Pointing to achievements of his regional visits, he stated “visiting and discussing the important issues with high-ranking officials of the countries particularly presidents, PMs, and parliament speakers, there exist an atmosphere of logical harmony.” Larijani highlighted his visits to holy shrines in Syria and Iraq and also deemed his meetings with religious figures as fruitful. He also stressed the necessity of bilateral economic and development ties, pointing to the talks on parliamentarian cooperation. “One of our main objectives was to negotiate and discuss the issue of fighting terrorism, as a regional issue which all three countries are facing,” Larijani said. Noting the importance of Iraq, Syria and Lebanon in resistance, He continued: “In every country we did discuss the issue of fighting terrorism from political and security points of view. In Syria the security has largely improved but the media are not broadcasting this. Some areas of Syria are heavily involved in the issue. However, all countries of the region have to consider terrorism as it is the critical issue of the region." Regarding Lebanon and the dominance of its army and resistance forces in fighting against terrorists, Larijani stressed that this country had gained great achievements. Meanwhile, he emphasized on establishment of political peace and unity in Iraq. Iranian official, highlighting the necessity of fighting and limiting the ISIL in southern and central areas of Iraq and also Kurdistan Region, expressed pleasure that all countries have become aware of the terrorists threat and its possible spread to other countries in the region. Larijani concluded that great achievements were made regarding economic and commercial ties on developing trade and transferring advanced industrial technologies.
