UAE summons Lebanese Ambassador over Nasrallah's hostile remarks

Abu Dhabi, 15 January 2015 (WAM): The UAE Foreign Ministry has summoned Hassan Yousif Sa’ad, Ambassador of Lebanon, to deliver a formal memorandum of protest following the hostile statements made by Hassan Nasrallah, Secretary-General of Hezbollah towards Bahrain. Dr. Tariq Ahmed Al Hidan, Assistant Foreign Minister for International Organisation Affairs expressed UAE's severe condemnation to these hostile and inflammatory, hateful and rejected remarks, which is a blatant interference in the internal affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain inciting violence and terrorism and aimed to destabilise the security and stability of that country. He added, "UAE holds the Lebanese government fully responsible for these statements, and demands it to issue a clear statement condemning and denouncing such hostile statements."
