Saudi ambassador to Qatar on the forthcoming Saudi Qatari
Riyadh, December 13, SPA -- The Saudi Ambassador to Qatar Ahmed bin
Ali Al-Qahrani today highlighted the forthcoming first meeting of the
Saudi Qatari Coordination Council scheduled for Riyadh on Tuesday,
saying that it constitutes the spirit of cooperation and fraternal
relations and consolidates the sincere wish of the Custodian of the
Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Emir of
Qatar Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani to enhance and strengthen the
cooperation and coordination march between the two countries in all
fields in a way that yields prosperity and progress for the two
countries.
In remarks to the Saudi Press Agency on the occasion, the ambassador
considered that the formation of the council under the
co-chairmanship of Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Deputy
Premier, Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General, and
Qatar's Heir Apparent Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani as yet another
proof of the keenness of the two countries that the council would
turn effective and useful.
He predicted that the meeting would make great strides and wide
positive and crucial steps that would push the relations between the
two countries forward towards new horizons of constructive
cooperation in all fields.
He pointed out that the council aims at promoting bilateral relations
between the two countries in the political, security, military,
financial, economic, commercial, investment, cultural and media
fields and other fields which go to the benefit of the two countries.
He said the council would forge the general policy for cooperation
and coordination between the two countries in all political issues of
mutual concern to coordinate the two countries' positions at
international platforms.
Al-Gahtani expressed hope that the Saudi Qatari council would play a
positive and effective role in enhancing and consolidating bilateral
relations between the Kingdom and Qatar, describing the relations
between the two countries as ideal.
