Volume of trade exchange between the Kingdom, Qatar reached SR
Riyadh, December 14, SPA -- The economic relations between the
Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Qatar witnessed significant developments.
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia became the second trade partner of Qatar.
The total volume of trade exchange reached SR 5540 million in 2007.
Experts stressed that the Saudi-Qatari economic relations will
witness more development in light of the Saudi-Qatari Coordination
Council which was recently established. The Council is co-chaired by
Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Deputy Premier, Minister
of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General, and Heir Apparent of
Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.
The Council will start its first meeting here Tuesday.
