PRESIDENT ON WORKING VISITS TO EAST, CENTRAL JAVA

Solo, Dec 15 (ANTARA) - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono arrived at Solo's Adi Sumarno airport at noon on Monday at the beginning of a three-day working visit in East Java and Central Java.

After disembarking from the Boeing 737-500 that had flown them from Jakarta to Adi Sumarno airport, the president and his entourage boarded cars for an overland trip to Nawangan village in Pacitan district, East Java.

Enroute to Nawangan village in Pacitan, the president would take a rest in Slogohimo sub district in Wonogriri district, Central Java. He was expected to arrive at Nawangan at 3:15 in the afternoon to dedicate the "Historic Zone of the Grand Commander, General Sudirman."
During his visit to Nawangan, President Yudhohono was accompanied by Acting East Java Governor Setia Purwaka, National Defense Forces (TNI) Chief Gen Djoko Santoso, Public Works Minister Djoko Kirmanto, and Culture and Tourism Minister Jero Watjik.

On Tuesday morning, the president and his entourage would make a devotional visit to Pacitan's Bunga Bangsa Heroes' Cemetery, and later visit the Prambanan Klaten resort in Central Java to launch a Public Service Program for Land Certification (Larasita).

At 3.30 on Tuesday afternoon, President Yudhoyono would inaugurate Yogyakata's Smart Garden in the company of Yogyakarta Mayor Herry Zudianto and Governor Sri Sultan Hamengku Buwono X.

The inauguration would be attended by the families of former presidents who would witness the unveiling of former presidents' family members' foot and hand prints.

Before returning to Jakarta at 1:20 on Wednesday afternoon, President Yudhoyono would attend the TNI Prasetya Perwira ceremony, and the installation of new TNI-Polri 2008 officers at the Sapta Marga stadium of the Military Academy in Magelang.
