Ras al-Khaimah Tourism Development Authority, TDA, which is focused on developing and promoting the emirate’s tourism infrastructure, will be showcasing Ras al-Khaimah’s hotel and resort offerings at this year’s ITB Berlin from 4th to 8th March. In its role as developer and promoter of Ras al-Khaimah’s tourism infrastructure, the TDA is being accompanied by leading international and regional brands, all of which are present in the emirate. Brands include Hilton Worldwide, The Cove Rotana Resort, Banyan Tree Al Wadi and Banyan Tree Ras al-Khaimah Beach, Bin Majid Hotels and Resorts, Rixos Bab Al Bahr, Golden Tulip Khatt Springs Resort and Spa, and Marjan Island Resort and Spa. The TDA’s participation in ITB is a central pillar of its strategy to build the reputation of Ras al-Khaimah on an international level in order to bring more tourists to the emirate. Supporting this is the drive to create and promote exciting opportunities for investment, business development and partnerships that can play a long term role in the sustainable development of tourism in Ras al-Khaimah. During ITB Berlin, TDA will be providing insight into that which makes Ras al-Khaimah a unique and exciting holiday destination. Natural features such as the diverse landscape, rich heritage, temperate climate alongside world class hotels are supporting Ras al-Khaimah's ambitions to become a globally recognised destination for luxury and adventure travel. Commenting on the authority’s showcase at ITB Berlin, Steven Rice, CEO, said, "Events such as ITB are crucial to achieving the goals for the Emirate’s tourism sector and establishing Ras al-Khaimah globally as well as within the region as a premium luxury holiday destination for adventure and relaxation. Our presence at ITB is a core part of our goal to strengthen ties with German speaking and European markets whose residents make up a significant proportion of our tourists. He added, "We are committed to the long term sustainable development of Ras al-Khaimah as a tourism destination, and the growing number of globally ranked brands operating within our borders is testament to this. We have a clear vision for the development of Ras al-Khaimah and we look forward to building this alongside our loyal and committed partners." – Emirates News Agency, WAM – http://www.wam.ae/en/news/emirates/1395277094265.html
