PRESIDENT ON WORKING VISIT IN YOGYAKARTA
Pacitan, East Java Province, Dec. 16 (ANTARA) - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono on Tuesday left Pacitan for Yogyakarta to continue his working visit in East Java and Yogyakarta since Monday (Dec. 15).
He headed to Prambanan Temple in Klaten to officially kick off the implementation of a public land certification program.
President Yudhoyono was at the ceremony expected to symbolically present land certificates to nine villagers.
From Prambanan Temple, the head of of state would proceed to Yogyakarta to inaugurate a Yogyakarta Smart Park in a ceremony to be attended by Guruh Soekarno Putra, a son of Indonesia's first president, Soekarno, and Puan Maharani, a daughter of former president Magawati Soekarnoputri.
The former presidents' children would also witness the inauguration of a monument bearing the hand and foot prints of Indonesia's former presidents.
On Wednesday, the president would lead a graduation ceremony at the Military Academy in Magelang, Central Java.
The ceremony would be attended by 928 successful Military Academy cadets, consisting of 320 from the police academy, 278 from the army academy, 179 from the naval academy, and 151 from the air force academy.
