Thank You Khalifa, say Filipino children

ABU DHABI, 18th March, 2015 (WAM) -- Children who survived Haiyan Typoon have paid a rich tribute to President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan as they were seen dancing, singing and hoisting the UAE flag. They said thank you, "Shukren" in Arabic language, to Emirates Red Crescent Authority (ERC) delegation, which was dispatched there to implement the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, for delivery of US$10 million humanitarian aid. The local education officials and guardians of students held a reception in honour of the ERC delegation, headed by Dr. Hamdan bin Musallam Al Mazrouei, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the ERC, on the reconstruction of 10 schools devastated by the typhoon. Each school held its own celebration to welcome the delegation. The schools praised the UAE leadership and people for their immediate humanitarian support to the victims. Al Mazrouei said, "The UAE sends a message of love and peace to the world at a time of violence, extremism and hate slogans that triggered wars, displaced families from their homes and destroyed schools and hospitals." He noted that the people of UAE extend their hands to rebuild and rehabilitate schools and hospitals, adding that the representatives of ERC in 60 countries worldwide provide humanitarian aid in the implementation of the directives of the UAE President, and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and follow up by H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in the Western Region, Chairman of the ERC.
