Saudi-Qatari Agreements Will Immediately Be Implemented, Says

Riyadh, Dec 17, SPA -- Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz, the Interior
Minister, said the agreements signed yesterday by Saudi Arabia and
Qatar will immediately be implemented.
In a press statement here yesterday after the meeting of the
Saudi-Qatari coordination council, Prince Naif said close links exist
between Saudi Arabia and Qatar.
He noted that the Saudi and Qatari Leaderships are keen on further
enhancing bilateral relations.
Prince Naif said the Saudi-Qatari coordination council will explain
the details of the issues agreed on.
He noted that the agreements are comprehensive and they include
political, security, military, economic, social, and cultural and
information issues.
He reiterated that the security cooperation between Saudi Arabia and
Qatar has been existing.
On his part, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, the Qatari Crown
Prince, highlighted the existing strong relations between Saudi
Arabia and Qatar.
He underscored the important role which could be played by the media
as regards cementing bilateral relations, and said the media should
project a proper idea about the existing good relations between the
two countries.
The media should be realistic and logical in covering the events, he
added.
