Wheat to be sowed on 300 thousand hectares

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Minister of agriculture and food R.Burmaa MP highlighted on Monday a preparation for spring sowing and a policy on regulating debt issues between flour mills and farming enterprises. Accordingly, grain will be sowed on 328.6 thousand hectares, where wheat will occupy 300 thousand hectares. Potatoes will be sowed on 13.9 thousand hectares, vegetables--on 8.3 thousand hectares. It is expected that 500.2 thousand tons of grain will be harvested, of which 465.7 thousand tons will be wheat, also 167.7 thousand tons of potatoes and 104.7 thousand tons of veggies. The sowing of grain, of oil and fodder plants will involve 1,190 thousand entities and people of 14 provinces, while the potatoes, vegetables and fruits sowing will be attended by 370 entities and 35 thousand families, the Minister said.
