Saudi Customs defines models of imported used vehicles

Riyadh, December 17, SPA -- Customs Department informed here today
all land, sea and air customs outlets to begin taking the necessary
arrangements for implementing the regulation which has previously
been recommended by a committee comprised of several relevant
government agencies and approved by Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz, the
Interior Minister, and Dr. Ibrahim Al- Assaf, the Minister of
Finance.

The regulation defines the models of used vehicles allowed to be
imported to the kingdom.

One of the most important items of the regulation is that production
date of the imported ordinary passenger cars, buses and light trucks
shouldn't be older than five years and ten years for the heavy
trucks. The regulation will go into force six months after its
approval.
