Hanif's Majlis hosts seminar on Operation Decisive Storm

DUBAI, 19th April, 2015 (WAM) -- Dr. Hanif Hassan Al-Qassim, Chairman of the Geneva Centre for Human Rights Advancement and Global Dialogue Board of Management, has emphasised that the world is currently witnessing unprecedented solidarity and cooperation for the Arab and GCC initiative regarding the Operation Decisive Storm aimed to achieve legitimacy and eradicate sectarian problems, which threaten the security and stability of Yemen, since that country represents the security and national depth of GCC States and the Arab Region. The forum, held at his Majlis in Dubai, featured dialogue on the changes and repercussions of the situation of the GCC States regarding Operation Decisive Storm, and noted the international supportive stance in various forms and through different mechanisms to the military operation. Among those who attended the meeting were Lt. General Dahi Khalfan Tamim, Deputy Chairman of Police and General Security in Dubai, a number of intellectuals, officials and public figures. Dr. Al-Qassim said that a lot of problems that face the Arab and Islamic communities need to be solved through interactions and dialogue in the framework of cooperation and tolerance, as well as by enhancing the right understanding of the culture of peace. He also highlighted the wise leadership's keenness on launching visions and objectives which would contribute to the adoption of ideas and positive initiatives aimed at positioning the country as per its stature among the countries of the world. He praised the dialogue among the audience which reflected their awareness and far sighted visions. Al Qassim expressed his appreciation for the Arab and GCC leaders and peoples for their unprecedented and historic stance towards addressing the security challenges at the Arab, regional and international level.
