LAWMAKERS TURN DOWN BILL ON CRISIS

In a blow to the Finance Ministry, the House of Representatives on Thursday refused to pass a bill that would set in place a contingency plan to help the country deal with the threat of an economic crisis.

POLICE SEIZE 3.6 TONS OF NARCOTIC SUBSTANCE IN TANGERANG

At least 3.6 tons of narcotic basic material were seized by the Banten Provincial Anti-Narcotic Body on Thursday (Dec. 18). It is suspected that the illicit chemical substances packed in 21 drums were smuggled in through sea transportation from China.
