PRESIDENT LAUNCHES HIS LATEST BOOK

Jakarta, Dec 19 (ANTARA) - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono launched his latest book entitled Indonesia Unggul (Superior Indonesia) here Friday afternoon.
Unlike his two previous book entitled Transforming Indonesia and Indonesia on the Move, the third was written in Bahasa Indonesia.
The book which exposed the president's ways of thinking because of his knowledge gained from reading was an answer to many requests from various people asking him to produce books in the Bahasa Indonesia.
The book reflected the nation's new chapter through direct presidential election in 2004 and also noted a tragic history of a tsunami and other natural disasters in the middle of going through democracy transition.
The President also wrote about government efforts under his leadership and his unpaid debts as head of state to the Indonesian people.
The book launch took place in Grand Indonesia Mall here on the occasion of the dedication of the Gramedia book store by the president.
Several ministers and first lady Any Yudhoyono were also present besides public figures namely artist Titiek Puspa, Chairman of Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) MS Hidayat, and CEO of Kompas Gramedia Jacob Oetama.
