Leaders of Mongolia, China, Russia to meet in summer - Putin

MOSCOW, May 7. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin has said that this summer a first tripartite summit of the leaders of Russia, Mongolia and China will take place. "A tripartite summit of the leaders of Russia, Mongolia and China is to be held this summer at your initiative," Putin said at a meeting with Mongolia’s President Tsakhiagiin Elbegdorj on Thursday. Putin suggested that his counterpart "should use today’s and tomorrow’s events for discussing the agenda of the tripartite meeting with Chinese counterparts." China’s President Xi Jinping is arriving in Moscow on Friday for celebrations of the 70th anniversary of the Soviet Union’s victory over Nazi Germany. Russia and Mongolia had deep-rooted and "very long and friendly relations," Putin said proposing to focus on a broad range of bilateral issues at the talks. Tsakhiagiin Elbegdorj congratulated the Russian president on successes in Russia’s development. "We are very glad to see the growth of our great neighbour’s (the Russian Federation) economy in these difficult times," he said underscoring "Russia has found its rightful great niche in the international arena."
