Kadin To Hold Investment Forum On Eastern Indonesian Development

Jakarta, May 13 (Antara) -- The Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) will organize Trade and Investment Forum 2015 and a national working meeting on the acceleration of development in eastern Indonesia here on May 25. Investment opportunities and development projects in eastern Indonesia will be promoted and offered during the forum, Reza Maspaitell, chairman of the forum's organizing committee, said here on Wednesday. The two events are aimed at supporting the acceleration of development in eastern Indonesian regions, Maspaitell, who is the chairman of the investment, banking, finance, and business development division of Kadin's eastern Indonesian office, stated. The forum will also discuss food resilience efforts and the national policy on financing the acceleration of development in eastern Indonesia. "President Joko Widodo and Vice President M. Jusuf Kalla are slated to attend the forum, given the importance of eastern Indonesian development programs," he noted. Evenly distributed development programs across the country will narrow the gap between the western and the eastern regions of Indonesia. The Jokowi administration has emphasized its commitment to expediting the development of infrastructure, in eastern Indonesian regions in particular, to improve the connectivity of the country's islands.
