President of Poland confers on outgoing UAE envoy highest-profile order

WARSAW, 14th May, 2015 (WAM) -- Under-Secretary of State at the Polish President’s Office, Jaromir Sokolowsk, has decorated on behalf of President of the Republic of Poland, Bronislaw Komorowski, UAE Ambassador in Warsaw, Asim Mirza Ali Al Rahma with "the Order of Merit of the Republic of Poland," in recognition of his active role to promote bilateral relations between the UAE and the Republic of Poland in various fields, especially in the areas of economy and trade. Addressing the ceremony held at the presidential palace yesterday, the Polish minister commended the role played by the UAE ambassador in upgrading the Polish-UAE relations, referring to the exchange of official visits, notably, the fruitful visit of the President of Poland to the UAE at the end of 2013. He also cited the remarkable growth of the trade exchange between the two countries and the launch of direct flight by Emirates Airline between Dubai and Warsaw. On his part, the UAE ambassador thanked President Komorowski for conferring the Order of Merit of the Republic of Poland on him.
