FUTSAL - THAILAND DEFEATS INDONESIA 6-3 IN FINALS
Jakarta, Dec 20 (ANTARA) - A futsal team of Indonesian university students had to be satisfied with silver in the ASEAN XIV University Students Sports Week (POM) in Malaysia after being defeated by Thailand 6-3 in the finals.
Previously, the Indonesian team won the game against Thailand during the qualification but was defeated in the finals, an official website of the Indonesian Football Association said on Saturday evening.
Before the finals, the Indonesian team was optimistic to gain a victory after trouncing Thailand 6-3 in the qualification games. Unfortunately, the optimism was borne out by reality.
The three goals made by Indonesia during the finals were contributed by Muhammad Amri Daulay in the 19th minute, Sayan Karmidi in the 21th minute and Afif Tamimy in the 35th minute.
