Bush meets Abbas, Says Peace Process ‘Irreversible’ 2 Washington

On his part, Abbas also promised to move the peace process forward.
“There is no doubt that we will continue these efforts and the peace
negotiations,” said Abbas, who praised the “foundation” laid by Bush.


Abbas said Palestinians are “practically committed” to negotiations
launched by Bush one year ago, and he was confident incoming
President Barack Obama would continue advancing the peace process.
