Course on combating Terrorism in Offing

Riyadh, December 21, SPA -- The Training college of Naif Arab
University for Security Sciences and the Council of Arab Interior
Ministers, will jointly organize a training course on combating
terrorism, starting tomorrow its three days of activities and works
in Tunis.


Dr Abdulaziz Al-Ghamdi, the President of the University, said the
organization of the training course comes in line with the Arab
strategy for fighting terrorism.


He noted that terrorism impedes the process of development
throughout the world.

Dr. Al-Ghamdi quoted the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King
Abdullah bin Abdulaziz as saying that the crime originates from
persons who have sick and deviant mind.


The scientific program of the training course includes topics on
terror cells; the role of the religion in fighting terrorism; the
contradiction of terrorism with the Islamic legislations, management
of crisis at the terror event (the Saudi experience in this respect)
and other related topics.


It is worth mentioning that the university, within the framework of
its efforts to fight terrorism, has organized more than 260 training
courses and workshops.
