GOVT TO ALLOCATE RP100 TRILLION AS CAPITAL EXPENDITURES IN 2009
Jakarta, Dec 21 (ANTARA) - The government plans to allocate Rp100 trillion in funds next year as capital expenditures particularly for infrastructure projects, a minister said.
The capital expenditures consist of Rp72 trillion for infrastructure projects at various ministries and Rp24 trillion for infrastructure projects at regional governments, Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati said at a discussion held on the sidelines of the fifth national congress of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) here on Sunday.
She said Rp25.8 trillion of the Rp72 trillion capital expenditures for the central government will go to the Public Works Ministry, Rp12.6 trillion to the Transportation Ministry, Rp4.5 trillion to the Energy and Mineral Resources Ministry, Rp3.5 trillion to the Trade Ministry, Rp2.8 trillion to the Finance Ministry, Rp2.2 trillion to the Religious Affairs Ministry, Rp1.1 trillion to the Marine Affairs and Fisheries Ministry and Rp1 trillion to the National Education Ministry.
She expressed hope that regional legislative councils (DPRD) would immediately approve the regional budget so that the capital expenditures and infrastructure projects could be realized soon.
