Prince Turki bin Nasser speaks on CEDARE's objectives
Cairo, December 22, SPA -- Prince Turki bin Nasser bin Abdulaziz Al
Saud, Chairman of Board of Trustees of Center for Environment and
Development for Arab Region and Europe "CEDARE" has affirmed that the
Center for the last eight years, has been showing keen interest in
caring for environment affairs in conformity with advances in this sector, and preparing studies to reach solutions to environmental problems.
"Moreover, the Center is also engaged in transferring the European
experience in this field to Arab countries for building potentials
and providing training facilities."
In a statement following the 12th meeting of the Center's Board
of Trustees here on Sunday, the Prince said that the speed of reform
can not be compared with the speed of destruction as the damage to
environment has been greater. "Moreover, the needed reforms in this
context are underway and the Arab ministers are meeting to consider
all problems for environmental reforms in the Arab world as a whole,
but not specifically for a particular region."
