Khalifa bin Zayed Foundation to distribute 1.8 million meals during Ramadan

The Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation has concluded all the preparations needed to implement its Iftar Project to begin on the first day of the Holy Month of Ramadan.
This year, the Khalifa Foundation has allocated about 106 centres to be responsible for the distribution of Ramadan meals in various parts of the country through which 1.8 million meals will be offered during the Holy Month.
An official source at the Khalifa Foundation said that the project is following the teachings of Islam, which call for cooperation, compassion and affection, and one of its most important manifestations is hosting Iftar banquets.
He pointed out that 180 coordinators and supervisors were assigned, in various parts of the country, to follow up the quality of the Ramadan meals, and its compliance with health conditions.
The Foundation took the initiative to implement the Iftar Project for 2015 through holding a series of meetings with the relevant authorities out of its keenness to make this project a success, in cooperation with strategic partners. – Emirates News Agency, WAM – http://www.wam.ae/en/news/emirates/1395281979668.html
