HAI to provide 150 Iftar and Sohour Meals for fasting people at Aqsa Mosque

RAMALLAH, 18th June, 2015 (WAM) -- Human Appeal International (HAI) will provide 150,000 Iftar and Sohour meals for the fasting people in Al-Aqsa Mosque in cooperation with the Jerusalem Islamic Waq.
Ibrahim Rashid, Director of the Human Appeal International's office in the West Bank, said the programme comes within the "Bridges of Goodness" Initiative which is seen in the framework of the US$4-million charitable campaign.
He said that Jerusalem takes centre stage in the field of provision for HAI's programmes and initiatives, adding the philanthropic authority aims to contribute positively to secure Ramadan's religious atmosphere for the beneficiaries. He also added that the body has been organising Iftar project for the 10th year in a row, noting it has allocated US$1 million for Iftar project for the benefit of the fasting people in Aqsa Mosque.
He also hailed the strong collaboration between Jerusalem Islamic Waq and HAI aimed at implementing the charitable project.
