2nd Saudi Orthopaedic Association International Meeting
Jeddah, December 23, SPA -- Prince Meshal bin Majid bin Abdulaziz,
Governor of Jeddah Governorate will patronize here on 10- 14 January
2009 the opening of the Second Saudi Orthopaedic Association Meeting
to be held at King Abdulaziz University (KAU) with participation of
350 experts and surgeons in the filed of Orthopaedology.
Dr. Hazem Al Khawashki, Chairman of KSU's Department of Orthopaedics
said, " The Saudi Orthopaedic Association (SOASSN) has been approved
on 3rd Rabi Al Thani 1426 (11th May 2005). This association is under
the umbrella of King Saud University, Riyadh.
Its membership is open to any Orthopaedic surgeons in the Kingdom or
in-training orthopaedic Residents, in addition to honorary membership
for those interested in this field. It aims at improving the
orthopaedic service given at different levels of patient’s care. It
hopes to achieve this by reaching its members, non-member
orthopaedic surgeons and other governmental or civil organizations
and try to find solutions to problems of trauma and orthopaedic in
the Kingdom. It is also aiming at upgrading orthopaedic knowledge and
skills of orthopaedic surgeons whether they are in cities or towns
through courses, symposia and workshops."
