AZERBAIJANI ATHLETES SCOOP 550 MEDALS IN 2008

Baku, 23 December,(AzerTAj)Azerbaijani athletes won 550 medals in Olympic (137 ones) and non-Olympic sports (413 ones) in 2008, Minister of Youth and Sport Azad Rahimov told a press conference on December 23.
Minister noted Azerbaijani athletes competed in 51 world, 73 Olympic championships and 120 international tournaments.

Baku hosted 25 international tournaments.
