Leaders of BRICS, SCO, EAEU member-countries to hold informal meeting on July 9 - Ushakov

MOSCOW, July 6. /TASS/. The leaders of the member-countries of BRICS, SCO and EAEU will hold an informal meeting in Ufa on July 9, Russian presidential aide Yury Ushakov has said. "An informal meeting will take place, to which the leaders of BRICS, SCO member-countries and the leaders who are the members of the Eurasian Council have been invited. There will be a discussion on the situation in Eurasia and on boosting cooperation in this area," Ushakov told reporters. He noted that the SCO summit would be held in Ufa on July 10. Taking part in it will be the six founding counties as well as observer states. After the meeting, a session of the Council of the heads of member-states will be held and the ceremony of signing documents will take place. At the end of the day, Putin will sum up the results of his three-day work in Ufa during a news conference. "Such a busy schedule, I would say," Ushakov noted. He added that 14 decisions were expected to be taken, including 11 signed agreements. In particular, representative of Tajikistan Rashid Alimov will be appointed the organization’s new Secretary-General. In addition to that, it is planned to adopt the strategy of SCO’s development until 2025.
