Japan Welcomes More Young Industrial Players For Jenesys Program - Envoy
KUALA LUMPUR, July 9 (Bernama) -- More local industries are invited to send their young talents to participate in the Japan-East Asia Network of Exchange for Students and Youths (JENESYS) programme in the country.
Japan's Ambassador to Malaysia, Dr Makio Miyagawa said through the programme, the participants could enhance their knowledge in various technology advancement available in the country and thus, facilitate industrial collaboration between both countries.
"We hope that more industries would be interested in sending off Malaysian talents to Japan to learn our technologies and enhance their experiences in our country," he told reporters after welcoming a visit from MCA youth delegates for JENESYS 2015 program, here Wednesday.
He said strategic partnership, especially in economy and politics, would not only benefit the industry, but in a wider scope, the collaboration among the talents would help to prosper the region in the future.
"Japan is expecting to strengthen political and economic collaboration over the horizon for the purpose of mapping the civilisation of Asian region," he said.
Meanwhile MCA National Deputy Youth Chief Lee Ching Yong said 15 young leaders from the party's youth wing had participated in JENESYS 2015 last month.
"We were impressed with the social value and how their (Japan) technology had improved the life of the Japanese people, we hope their government can give more opportunities for Malaysians, especially the youth to participate in such a programme," he said.
As such, to share the experiences they gained in participating in the JENESYS 2015, MCA Youth would organise some activities and invite speakers from Japan to share their latest political, economic, cultural, and technological development.
JENESYS is an exchange program with approximately 3,100 young people from the Asia-Pasific region being invited to Japan annually.
The objectives of the program are to promote mutual trust and understanding among the people of Japan and the Asia-Pasific region, and to build a basis for future friendship and cooperation as well as to promote a global understanding of Japan's society, history, diverse culture, politics and diplomatic relation.
MCA or Malaysian Chinese Association is a uni-racial political party in Malaysia that represents the Malaysian Chinese ethnicity.
