Ternate, N Maluku, Dec. 25 (ANTARA) - The Raja Ampat District authorities in West Papua Province, will help promote tourism objects in South Halmahera District, North Maluku Province, to tourists visiting Raja Ampat.

Among the tourist objects to be promoted would be Widi Isles in East Gane Sub district, Muhammad Kasuba, the district head of South Halmahera, said here on Thursday.

East Gane Sub district is located in the border shared by Raja Ampat and South Halmahera.

Widi Isles have very beautiful marine panorama. A Dutch marine tourism businessman, who had visited the isles, described Widi's marine panorama as among the most beautiful in the world.

It took about five hours by a speed boat from Raja Ampat District to Widi Isles, which still have virgin forest and enchanting sandy beach, Kasuba said.
