Russian, US, Saudi foreign ministers having meeting in Doha

DOHA, August 3. /TASS/. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov is having a meeting with his counterparts from the United States and Saudi Arabia, John Kerry and Adil Al-Jubayr, in Qatar’s capital city Doha. The three top diplomats are expected to discuss the situation in the Middle East and North Africa with a focus on the crises in Syria, Yemen and Libya, including in the context of anti-terrorist efforts and rebuffing threats coming from extremist groups Islamic State and Al Qaeda. The ministers are likely to discuss the role of Iran in regional affairs following signing of the Vienna agreements on the Iranian nuclear programme. Earlier on Monday, Lavrov was received by Emir of the State of Qatar - Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani, met with the foreign minister of Oman, former President of the National Coalition for Syrian Revolutionary and Opposition Forces Ahmad Mouaz al-Khatib and Hamas’ political leader Khaled Meshaal.
