UAE Permanent Representative to the UN oversees award-giving ceremony

Geneva, 6th August, 2015 (WAM) – Obaid Salem Al Zaabi, UAE Permanent Representative to the United Nations (UN) and other international organisations in Geneva, has overseen the awards ceremony of the student delegation of the Arab Scientific Club led by Dr. Ali Al Hammadi, Director of Department of Programmes at the Ministry of Education and Supervisor-General of the educational reconnaissance trip to Switzerland, which ended its visit on Tuesday. In a speech at the event, Al Zaabi said instructions given by Hussain bin Ibrahim Al Hammadi, Minister of Education, to organise the mission embody the wise leadership's vision to create the proper learning environment for the generation which will pursue the drive for the significant development and progress being witnessed by the UAE. This generation will be tasked with preserving and adding to these achievements, and maintaining and advancing the prominent place the UAE enjoys internationally, he added. He said the pilot programme, which involved more than 60 male and female students, aimed to open up a new perspective before the students and help them harness and develop their creative energies so as to serve their nation.
