HM King Hamad receives Jordanian monarch

Cairo, Aug. 6 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received at his residence in Cairo today Jordanian Monarch King Abdullah II, on the sidelines of his participation in the inauguration ceremony of the new Suez Canal. HM the King praised strong fraternal relations between both countries and their growth in various fields, stressing mutual keenness to further bolster them for the common interest of both countries and peoples. He also commended the honourable stances of Jordan towards Bahrain and the kingdom’s role in serving Arab and Islamic issues. Both leaders exchanged views on regional and international issues of common interest, stressing the need to boost solidarity among the Arab countries to ensure security, stability and ability to face challenges. They also emphasised resolve to continue coordination to foster regional peace and stability, underlining determination to support regional and international anti-terrorism efforts.
