King sends appreciation cable to Governor of Eastern Region

Dammam, Saudi Arabia, December 27, SPA -- The Custodian of the Two
Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz has sent a cable of thanks
to Prince Mohammed bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz, the Governor of the
Eastern Region, after reading the report submitted to him by the
Governor on opening the first phase of the housing projects in the
region.

King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz expressed appreciation for the heartfelt
feelings spelt out by Prince Mohammed bin Fahd and reiterated his
keenness on enabling the citizens to live an honorable life in all
regions of the Kingdom.

The message of Prince Mohammed bin Fahd to the king included a
detailed report on the housing projects in the eastern region which
aim at the service of widows and orphans as well as poor people in
addition to fighting the problem of poverty and the phenomenon of
beggary.

The housing projects include 138 furnished housing units.

Prince Mohammed bin Fahd said the housing projects will be followed
by similar projects in other cities and governorates.
