HRH Premier congratulated on ITU's Award

Manama, Aug. 9 (BNA): The Capital's Board of Trustees congratulated HRH Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa on the International Telecommunications Union (ITU)'s IT Award granted to His Royal Highness on the ITU's 50th anniversary. The Capital Board of Trustees Chairman Mohammed Ali Al Khoza'ee said the granting of this international award comes as an international recognition of the huge efforts of His Royal Highness the Prime Minister in achieving sustainable development in the Kingdom of Bahrain and His Royal Highness's efforts in boosting overall local, regional and international development. He said the granting of this award is not unprecedented to His Royal Highness who had received highest badges of honour in various humanitarian and development areas and has always been keen on the Kingdom's renaissance over the years and who continues to achieve the aspirations, goals and plans of the government which considers the development of citizens as its primary target in all of its plans and accomplishments. Al-Khoza'ee said His Royal Highness the Prime Minister has had the biggest contribution in the remarkable development and progress achieved by the Kingdom's ministries and sectors in the field of information and telecommunications (IT) technology, which attracted international expertise in the field which makes the Kingdom one of the advanced countries in this domain in terms of electronic services provided via the e-Government Portal.
