OVER 100 ARTISTS TO HOLD JOINT EXHIBITION IN UBUD
Denpasar, Indonesia, Dec 27 (ANTARA) - Some 108 artists of the Sanggar Dewata Indonesia (SD) artists community will hold a joint exhibition at Tonyraka Arts Gallerry in the Ubud Artists village from December 30, 2008- January 31, 2009.
The event would exhibit 120 artworks with "SDI NOW" theme, said the organizing committee chairman, I Gede Arya Sucita SSn who was accompanied by the gallery owner, Ir Tony Hartawan, here Saturday.
Also accompanied by the exhibition curator Arif Bagus Prasetyo, Sucita explained that in the event would display sculpture, paintings and other artworks.
The large scaled exhibition is participated in by various other artists across the nation.
SDI was established in 1970 as the largest artist association in Indonesia. Many of its members are still mingling in arts world, especially in canvas art, sculpture and installation art.
