National Society for Human Rights condemns Israeli aggression

Riyadh, December 28, SPA -- The Saudi National Society for Human
Rights (NSHRSA) denounced today the continued Israeli aggression on
the Gaza Strip resulting in killing of innocent people and
destruction of infrastructure.

The Society described the assault as "savage and barbaric".

In a statement issued here this morning, NSHRSA said that the
Israeli attacks which affected innocent women and children caused a
humanitarian catastrophe and brought a real violation of
international law and human rights principles. "Moreover, these
attacks reflect open defiance of the entire world which merely
watches aggression without any move to step it. It is a blatant
tolerance of a state organized terrorism practiced by Israel in the
Occupied Palestinian Territory.

The Society demanded international and regional institutions,
particularly the UN, EU, OIC and the League of Arab States to act
quickly to stop this aggression and oppression against the
Palestinian people.

It also called on all international institutions to help
provide care and assistance to the victims, particularly medical care
and urged human rights organizations throughout the world to do its
part to stop war crimes committed by Israel in the Gaza Strip and
demanded trial of the perpetrators.
