Prime Minister of India stresses importance of co-operation with UAE in areas of infrastructure

ABU DHABI, 18th August, 2015 (WAM) – Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, has stressed the importance of developing co-operation between the UAE and India in infrastructure sectors.
Dr. Azad Moopen, Chairman and Managing Director of Aster DM Healthcare, member of the organising committee for the visit of the Indian Prime Minister to the UAE, said the Prime Minister said during the meeting with Indian investors, organised by the embassy at Masdar city in Abu Dhabi yesterday, "This visit will contribute to the consolidation of the relations between the two countries."
Dr. Moopen told the Emirates News Agency (WAM) that the Prime Minister stressed during the meeting the need for India today is for about 50 million new homes at reasonable cost in addition to many other infrastructure projects such as roads, schools and hospitals, which provide an important opportunity to achieve development.
The Prime Minister also confirmed the existence of tremendous opportunities to invest in his country, citing the resolve of the Indian government to continue to develop relations with the UAE. He also referred to the importance of the healthcare sector, which tops the priorities of both countries.
Modi noted that the UAE set clear targets within its national agenda to improve healthcare through the application of a world-class health system by 2021. And in turn India has made this sector a top priority, making it one of the main areas in which the two countries can co-operate to achieve their goals not only through the development of hospitals and health centres, but also through the spread of medical education, training services and patient care. – Emirates News Agency, WAM -
