Prince Saud Alfaisal speaks on GCC Preparatory meeting topics

Muscat, December 28, SPA -- Prince Saud Alfaisal, the Foreign
Minister, said last night that the GCC Ministerial Council's meeting
in Muscat, discussed with great concern the continuing
unjust Israeli attacks against the Gaza Strip and their effects and
consequences.


In a statement to Saudi Press Agency following the meeting, he said
that the Ministerial Council did not take a decision on the call for
holding an emergency Arab summit and referred the issue to the Arab
foreign ministers' emergency meeting which will be held in Cairo on
Wednesday for discussion at the Arab level and consideration of the
possibility of holding an Arab summit that can take tangible
decisions that could lead to success and influence.
