Oman's Deputy Prime Minister wishes success to GCC Summit 3

With regard to the 29th GCC Summit’s ability to meet aspirations of
Gulf citizens and solve obstacles pertaining to realization of the
GCC citizenship and Common market and some aspects of co-operation
and integration, Sayyid Fahd said that all regional population groups
in the world, face a number of obstacles that hinder them of
completing some parts of envisaged co-operation due to internal and
outside circumstances of each country. The full integration is an
objective that is to be achieved taking into consideration the
mechanism that suits potentials of member states.

With regard to aspirations and ambitions of the GCC peoples,
Sayyid Fahd said that the GCC was established initially to please
citizens of the region, achieve stability, prosperity for them in
current time and in future. The GCC countries future is promising
despite the frequent difficult circumstances. The GCC states have
gathered all GCC citizens and achieved co-operation among them in
various fields, he said.

When asked whether the region is heading for stability and
development of co-operation, Sayyid Fahd said “Undoubtedly, the
Sultanate and the GCC countries fully recognize the importance of
stability, and security as they are a base for establishing
brotherhood among the countries of the region so as to develop their
capacities in terms of promoting development whose positive impacts
reflect on their people.”
